# A Simple and Secure Way to Whistle Blow on nostr

I was thinking through how someone might be sure to hide their identity and post whistleblowing content to #nostr

For sure you want to use at the least the [Tor Browser](https://www.torproject.org/download/) or even better [Tails](https://tails.net/).

One issue with most web clients for nostr is they use a lot of scripting which you ideally do not want to allow since it is a way your true identity (IP address) could be divulged.

The easiest way is to use a site like [nostrdebug.com](https://nostrdebug.com)

Go to the site and add relays it suggests. Lastly adding `wss://nostr.mutinywallet.com`

Go to the [Publisher](https://nostrdebug.com/publisher) page and choose the + icon next to **Private key**. This will generate a new account. Under **Content** add your information be sure to add the #whisleblower tag to it. Along with any other relevant tags to allude to what the note is about. You can use Markdown if needed.

Once done hit "Send" and should see green check message under second column of page on right side. Consider the potential issues of keeping the nsec of this new account since it can tie you back to it. Easier to monitor the comments on the note since nostr DMs currently are not secure enough. Best to keep it completely separate of your usual nostr use.

Alternatively can add a nostr cli client or Gossip on Tails. But this is more overly complicated. This is non guarantee of anonymity, just a thought experiment. 🤙💜👀
