how many typical economic transactions does your average JPEG transaction displace? and will they really be able to outbid all of those economic transactions?

this is a good question, though i don't know if we actually have any data to tell this. however, since inscriptions are using witness data (signatures) and not transaction data, they are paying 4X less. so in theory, with full blocks, they're displacing 4X the amount of transactions that would normally occupy the same space.
