Confronting a lot of conditioning as I uninhibitedly press the track navigation buttons in @Wavlake.

I've gotten so used to the advertiser-model player of Spotify that I have a clenching feeling whenever I press "Next"; like there's some imaginary purse of "free passes" that I'm reluctant to "spend", never knowing how many I've "accrued" (let alone knowing how they're accrued, and for how long I can "save" them).

Maybe 3rd-party advertisers will eventually have to be dealt back in; who knows. But it's really cool not to have them there right now; cuts down on a lot of noise between the artist, their music and me. 🫶🎶

I hope you've tried zapping some of the artists you like... that's another game changer

Yes! I wasn't sure about what to zap, so the suggestions helped...so subtle, yet so interesting to interact through zaps. For me, if I "like" a song, I'll heart; and if I love it, I'll zap...will zap again if I add to playlist... and will zap if I like the artist name apparently. (The name "Homeless Moses" made me laugh and zap at the same time). Also an interesting practice of thinking in sats.
