#grownostr #hurricane #beryl Well we survived! We are just west of Houston and got a direct hit from the Hurricane.

It started getting pretty windy at 4am, peak winds from 6-9am. About 6-7” of rain.

Not too much damage, fair amount of branches and trees up rooted. I was just setting up the window AC unit when the power kicked back on.

Glad I had a generator, ran the two fridges off the champion 2500 watt one. It only used maybe a gallon for about 4 hours of run time.

I store my gas in 5 gallon cans, I remove the crappy spouts and use a sealed cap from Amazon. I also use a jiggle siphon to easily get gas from the container to the generator.

Have a power strip, extension cords, battery bank for small devices.
