Apparently, this is due to the Linux Foundation being based in the US and legal precedent set for the GPL. I believe most Bitcoin and Nostr projects don’t have this exposure, right?
So, it seems you can't contribute to FOSS if you were born in the 'wrong' country.
It's a horrific precedent for Linux.
