The French, like all Europeans but probably more than anybody else, are junkies of the State. They want MORE of it, and MORE, and MORE.

They're just having a little bit of a hangover at the moment, some collateral damage from the drug they love. But they're still junkies and they can never stop using.

It is sad but I totally agree with your argument.

If there is no educational change in some generation this will continue to perpetuate.

It is what it is a no change is possible, the State is a religion in Europe. I opt out the best I can by doing exactly what you said.

The Scandinavians are the real state junkies. So much so that there is no rioting like this, ever—even when the state passes very unpopular laws or regulations. The French people are passionate freedom lovers in comparison

Let's settle the question like this;

The Scandinavians are the banking executive who enjoys and can afford the purest cleanest Afghan heroin and inject themselves on their plushy penthouse overlooking the fjord, supervised by their private doctor.

The French are a 12 year old street kid who started sniffing glue from a plastic bag and now rob the old ladies in their hood to try to score some of the vilest shit nobody else dares shoot.

Also, note that the "unpopular laws" that the French protest always have to do with reducing the role of the State in people's lives or reducing the amount of "free stuff" they get from it. So, the oposite of freedom-loving. It's withdrawal syndrome.
