University seeking someone who can decipher "shorthand" from the 50's.... My grandmother was a master at shorthand, but there's slowly becoming nobody that understands it.

Is this a situation where a YouTuber is going to feed it to their Mario conquering neural net and we learn how frisky the old time mayor was?

lol, funny enough a Utah Mayor did create the "stockade" in Salt Lake City, in the early 1900's and construction of a street of single rooms, walled off, amidst the train transfer station, with an armed police guard at the entrance.

Literally, overnight, the women had three choices: they could leave town, they could go to jail, or they could go to the "stockade" . Evidently, most of the women, went to the stockade.

"The stockade occupied the interior of the block and consisted of about one hundred small brick and frame dwellings called "cribs," built in rows, or on "line." Hence, the phrase, "Going down the line." Belle London rented these cribs to prostitutes for from one to four dollars a day."
