Every time I see a Bitcoiner post comparisons like that I wonder how they justify the financing of historic buildings with the mindset of a modern Bitcoiner.

I might be completely off here, but in my imagination churches and other great buildings like town halls or train stations from hundreds of years ago were financed by "gathering" money from the population. Either by tax, fear (religion) or other ways of suppression (slavery of all kinds).

What do you think, #[1]?

I don't know, I wasn't there at the time. But in general, people only endure as much as they allow their overlords to get away with.
