He just didn't have the unity in Africa he was trying to achieve yet, if only he was given a few more years, his greatest mistake was not partnering with larger countries for protection/not having nukes. Sure he was a brutal dictator, but newsflash, in Africa that's what you need to keep the greater peace... RIP
