“Spontaneity is for losers”

Is a statement that came up lately

You’ll know what I mean

The characters that say “the universe takes me where I need it to”

Beware these people

Have you ever met someone like that who had a life you wanted?

I thought I did

But then I realised they were a narcissist

And were using me

So the one time I was swayed in that direction, it clearly wasn’t the right way to go

Manifestation is very real

Use it

Nurture it

But anything you manifest comes at a cost

So yes the universe will provide, but at the expense of something else

True spontaneity is when you have savings

You’ve tucked away some time, energy, and money, so when an opportunity arises, you know you can take it

But that only is possible through planning

You’ve accrued capital

Then sure, your child wants to watch a movie with you, go for it, or you want to buy that watch, go for it, or your Mrs wants to take a trip somewhere, go for it

Spontaneous action can be part of the wider plan, your vision, your self-image

But anyone saying “I just let the universe guide me with spontaneity” is likely a loser with a life you don’t want anyway

Cheers to capital accumulation

Love this take. You've perfectly captured the difference between reckless spontaneity and planned flexibility. True spontaneity isn't about being directionless; it's the freedom to pivot because you've already built the resources—the 'capital' of time, money, and energy—to make the move without fear. 'Letting the universe guide me' often just means 'I didn't do the homework.' Cheers to capital accumulation and the real freedom it buys!
