Some day, I will steal my company's marketing team away and ask them, "how do I fix this?"

Let me elaborate, on an example:

- Awesome Nostr news!! Hyped.

- Politics/The world is a bad and evil place.

- Politics?

- Good advice (migrate from corpo to foss)

- GM Protocol! <3

- Bitcoin

- Politics

- Bitcoin

By all good means, it is either politics or bitcoin. I want to see more diversity, so I will try and find a way to achieve this - somehow. Yeah the coinage here is real strong, and due to the origins of nostr, it makes sense.

But damn, there's a lil more in life than some bytes in a blockchain and whatever that idiot at a podium is coughing (which is usually half lie and half misinformation - pick your poison i guess).

I hope, that in the future, "Trending" shows a bit more than just this.

Gonna play around with word filters to see if that changes anything for the meantime. o.o

Agreed. I think the best thing is be the change you want to see. Talk about your interests then hopefully likeminded folks will interact.

I spent a long time not following anyone with funny eyes, that helped a bit. I’m blocking accounts that only post btc memes.

Still low on interaction. I’ve hashtaged my interests in my profile.

What app are you using with filters? On the Fedi I have loads that make it much more interesting to me.

I am quite blessed with having found some folks like that actually! It's not a whole lot, but I throughly enjoy the company. Been here for almost a year and seen some ups and downs. But, I do have my few peeps that I regularily interact with - which is neat! :)

Oh same here. Though I usually checked the bio; sometimes they picked that pfp because it was cool - i can understand that o.o So I ended up following just some bridged RSS feeds and people I found interesting.

I am currently trying out Snort's word filter (Settings -> Moderation). I literally just configured it - so, no idea how that'll go.

Primal also seems to have some settings.

Technically, there's also filter.nostr.wine but... requires both payment, and thus the whole rat's tail of needing lightning and the lot x.x

NoStrudel should also have some features in that direction; haven't checked though, but afaik the dev is super hard at improving this app, chances are he added it already, but I don't know the repo it is hosted at - Github Gitea or whichever - so I haven't really tracked it's commit history (thus, new features). ^^'
