We can use rain so badly! Itβs close so hoping it comes up by us #grownostr

We normally don't get much rain and snow (about 12" a year), but this year has been amazing. We got 3 feet of snow in March. 2-3 weeks ago it rained for almost a week and we got about 3" of rain. It is supposed to rain for the next week+ with any where between 0.1" and 0.5" per day (hopefully a perfect drizzle like the last rainy period.
I just got a ton of things planted and I'm hoping this week of rain will get everything settled in nicely. I'm not used to this nice rainy situation. Normally we go weeks or even months without a drop.
Thatβs amazing!! We can definitely have some droughty weather but this whole month has been unusually dry
Our rainy weather isn't truly a large amount of rain. The rain we are predicted to get over the next week totals just under 2", but for us, that is still really good. The plants love when we get a little regularly. So often they go a long time between rains. Once perennials are established, they normally do OK, but getting things established is tricky.
When I want to plant new perennials, it is very difficult. We go from below freezing, 60+ mph winds, and regular snowing to highs in the 80s & 90s sometimes in a week and definitely in less than a month. Sometimes we can alternate, so it is tricky to figure out when to plant things.
