Here is my entire pitch to abolish the Dept of Ed in one graph. If you are old enough that you spent most of you time in school without the Dept, you were 1st in High School and 3rd in collage in the world.

If you grew up with the "benefit of the Dept of Ed" you were 10th and 13th respectively. This isn't even test scores just graduation rates and frankly were "graduate" a LOT of idiots.

We spend more per student in the US then any nation anywhere and 68 billon of that is for the dept of ed, which is an unnecessary bureaucracy that has no positive impact on education.
