I've loathed social media for a long time. I was only on Twitter because that's where the Bitcoiners were. Now we have Nostr, and I'm starting to find the "Bitcoiners" who aren't here pretty sus. You believe in decentralized money but when decentralized social media comes along you choose to stay on the centralized mothership? Makes me ask questions s'all.

Takes time.

How long? Once you've been orange pilled I'd think you'd immediately see the appeal of decentralized social media. I'm not saying you need to completely abandon the likes of Twitter (maybe you can keep orange and purple-pilling people there), but to not be here at all? Makes no sense to me from a Bitcoiner perspective.

Agree. But like a barber 💈 no matter how great the talent it takes time to fill the schedule when opening a new place. Habit is created only through time.

Year usually does it.

But isnt it mistake thinking of nostr as uncensorable when it wasnt really tested yet?

What will relays and clients do with users posting immoral content?

Fine, it's not 100% proven yet -- but Twitter/Facebook/InstaGram/etc have all *absolutely proven themselves willing to censor*. So even if Nostr is the lesser of the evils, it's still *the lesser of the evils*! So why would you ignore it and remain on the platforms that have shown they are all for censorship and centralization and not even given the one that has at least clearly stated it's against that behavior a try? Makes no sense to me as a Bitcoiner.

If censorship is possible it will happen. If enough relays/clients decide they dont like you, you r out and even pen relay wont help you cos your notes wont reach many.

You do realize there are *hundreds* of relays that are geopolitically diverse already right? Do you really think they'll *all* censor you? Compare that to Twitter where if one person decides they don't like you, you're gone. As for Nostr, you can run your own relay and everyone can reconnect with you. Big, big difference between the two.

How will new followers discover me if big relays block me? My posts wont reach many people. Its like shaddow ban of birdapp.

And clients can censor just as well and there are fewer of them.

Again I say, there are *hundreds* of relays. How many of them have blocked you? Compare that to Twitter or Facebook where all you have to do is disagree with the government narrative and you're gone. There's no comparison. You're pretending a problem *could* exist here that doesn't exist here, and if it did, you could connect to other relays that don't censor. You have a choice, and that makes all the difference.

If someone posts CP, u think relays will want to transmit such content?
