Sorry, but the geologic evidence shows that geomagnetic excursions usually last around a millennium, and during that time there is so much electric energy in the atmosphere that there is frequent "cosmic thunderbolts" which are minutes long discharges hundreds of kilometers wide, that incinerate everything near it.

And this has nothing to do with societal collapse. That's long over after the power wires fuse, the transformers catch fire and you find out what happens when all food spoils, the water becomes unsanitary, and the mad max part is the criminals banding together to survive. The narrative of mad max portrays it as the result of humans.

Nope.

And wanting gold and silver when there is no power is just practical.

You underestimate how dependent we are on electricity. The absolute best case scenario is we manage to keep steam power.

also, maybe, *maybe* if it wasn't for the fact that TPTB are hiding the facts that they know, and have known, since the 1940s, that we are entering a period of a geomagnetic excursion, and we built underground cities, and run optic fibre across under ground and use geothermal power and carefully built carbon fuel burners or better, nuclear power, we'd already be ready. i guarantee you there is large underground shelters already created for this reason, and none of us are invited.
