The push to rename the small units of #bitcoin to “bitcoins” is utter lunacy. I can understand the objection that linguistically, there is no clear or obvious continuity between a bitcoin and its constituent “satoshis.” However, the same holds true for a dollar and its subordinate pennies, at least as we understand these two words today.

So instead of being insane people, if we’re really in such a hurry to rename sats, then we should just go with “bits.” Though “sats” is just fine and I don’t see this changing.
