Did you want me to write it out in a proof? I'm just guessing that the two parenthesis-bits cancel each other out and you end up with 0=4ab and that means one of the elements in 4ab must also be 0.

But, I'm sort of mathematically illiterate. Probably some trick I'm overseeing or something.
