Half of your meal should be vegetables. A quarter should be meat. And the other quarter you shouldn't eat.

I like the eating less bit. There are myriad successful diets that don’t include vegetables though. Maybe it’s mostly fish, or camel’s milk and blood, or rice and soup. I think the keys are to eat less like you suggest and avoid sugar, eating only soft foods, and mixing fats and carbohydrates often. But that’s way less pithy :)
