why are you attracted to Nostr if you're not a Bitcoin maniac? it's hard to see people like you around here, but maybe that is changing? how did you find about Nostr?

Nostr is a little less popular than Mastodon or Bluesky. If one googles social networks with anti-corporation philosophy it's inevitable to see Nostr put in the same sentence as Mastodon and Bluesky. Those two aren't perfect, so I decided to give Nostr a chance (which is not perfect either), and here I am. Out of all 3, Nostr seems to have the least fundamental problem since it's not the protocol design as far as I can tell, but the lack of audience variety. Yeah, Bitcoiners are everywhere here π Some redditors even publish posts like "Non-Bitcoin accounts to follow on Nostr". Seems like it's not just me, many people would like to join.
followid. with time it be going better. if you on desktop there are several clients that make it better easier to look for content aside bitcoin's. rabbit and nostrudel for if you haven't heard of them, for example. π€
