Two great book sequels ruined by shitcoin/blockchain:

- Assassin (3rd book of the High Ground series, sequel to Speculator and Drug Lord)

- Critical Mass (sequal to Delta-V by Daniel Suarez)

Both times, the protagonists literally running a centralized pyramid and profit from seignorage of worthless tokens, but the author glorifies it in the cringest way.

Critical Mass was already ruined by 20% of the book being moralizing climate emergency doom.

Assassin's shitcoiner was a HUGE disappointement because if the assassination market had been using Bitcoin payments it would actually have made sense and without the seignorage the protagonists would (ironically) have retained the moral high ground.
