Why not just use bisq or robosats? I have guides on my blog expatriotic.me

And avoid Strike and it links your Bitcoin usage to your identity which seems unwise...

I don't want the government to know I own bitcoin... 90 something years ago April 5th an executive order went out demanding people surrender their gold.

Hard to say you don't have something when you've KYCed

I used strike to purchase on robosats, sent to a bolt12 address then to cold storage.

Looks like I need to pull back to lightning and flip again though

I tried signing up for strike... They asked for my personal information and I dipped. That's a hard no for something that handles Bitcoin...

I guess it's fine if you're using it for fiat only, if that's a thing...

Doing KYC for Bitcoin is just asking for trouble though

Some say to never double dip in the salsa. But, inevitably, someone does, and we may too. In the end, we all enjoy the salsa.

Yep. Boltz is the way

How you gunna say "avoid strike" and then say use robotsats like strike ain't a funding source for trades on there

Huh? I don't understand...

P2P platforms have many options, you choose what you use.

I'm saying that you choose not to sign up for or use Strike ever in any capacity since they combine KYC and corn. A huge no no.

What options are there to use on robosats that aren't kyc on the fiat side of things?

Ahhh okay so you didn't understand.

Fiat is always KYCed unless it's cash in an envelope. Which actually you can do on Bisq.

I'm talking about KYCed BITCOIN...

Strike handles Bitcoin. And is KYCed.

This is different than ACH, Zelle, Paypal, Amazon Gift cards, cash in envelope etc etc.

I'm not sure how better to explain...

Maybe an analogy is needed...

So why are you saying don't use strike and then you just said all fiat is kyc. Like if I use strike USD to send people USD and they send me to my lightning node, how is that kyc'd? How is there another option that is better?

If you are only using Strike for fiat and never with Bitcoin then sure, I guess that's fine. And then receive the Bitcoin elsewhere.

You can understand why I would assume a Strike user would be using Strike to interact with Bitcoin though

I'll admit I've bought a lot on there through the years. I've been trying to obfuscate a lot of it. I use it now to pay invoices and use for donations though. I have a KYC and a non KYC stack that are separate and both are nothing to write home about

Glad we could clear that up. I was just trying to make sure sending USD from strike wasn't some how Inadvertently kyc-ing my stack

I primarily use Amazon gift cards but it takes longer to find a seller usually

I do need to try bisq still

It's amazing... I post orders to buy bitcoin at -1% market value and people take them

I can usually get around 2-3% on robosats with Amazon gift cards. It just takes some time to be accepted

Seeing 1.5 today on premium and bond!

On bisq or robosats

Robo

Sweet I'm about to check
