I'm hoping this year we get some more. This will be year number 2.
Ours are 4-5 yrs old now, so pretty mature.
I've got some that are pretty mature and some that might produce a little for the first time this year. I just need to do a better job of harvesting. I tend to look, and they seem not quite big enough and then get busy. When I come back, I have fronds. Last year, I only got one full meal out of my asparagus and a couple of individual shoots that I combined with some store bought asparagus another night. I think I have a clue this time. This will be the 3rd year my mature asparagus have produced.
That one meal was so good. That is why I planted more.
I'm having to harvest every day, sometimes twice a day to keep up. Might start freezing some.
