My late husband lived in Madison, Wisconsin during our time apart after high school, when he was dating another woman. I believe he drove for Fed-ex or something during that time; he remarked about the amount of roadkill squirrels he saw. We later married in Contra Costa County, CA.
When I moved to California and lived in Sonoma Country, I had a cat named Magenta who used to eat multiple voles every day, in season. My late husband visited me there also, a couple of times.
