Correct @jack. But how do you achieve this???
1. Make the platform more "user friendly." Simplify & diversify user onramping by making it easier to join and/or enabling users to open an account by:
a) NSEC for those wanting privacy and anonimity completely and/or who are digitally savy.
b) Allow option to join the platform using just their name, access to IP address and/or Digital # verification , ie. It is "their" choice, whatever method user is comfortable with. Do NOT be restrictive.
2. Develop SYSTEMS model so users can access & chose what they want quickly and efficiently.
a) Relay
b) Hashtag
c) Topic
d) Following, etc. etc etc.
3. Incorporate & Develop ORGANIZATION model to appeal to user's interests and/or narrow down their search depending on their interest:
a) Politics
b) News
c) World Events
d) Daily Trends
e) Gossip
f) Sports
g) Entertainment
h) Health, food, art, etc, etc
Bottom Line: You need to achieve and develop this platform in such a way, in order to RETAIN the users once they join.
I think the appeal of Nostr is its quick development vs. Bluesky who is trying to play it too safe with the AT protocol, invitee only approach, developing at a snail's pace, while unable to seize the momentum. Whereas Nostr is seizing the momentum. And while not perfect yet, it will outperform Bluesky. No such thing as playing safe and/ or bad press when you want to seize momentum. In fact the opposite, bad press draws attention and promotes more influx and awareness of the platform.
Now just Diversify! Diversify! Diversify! and seize the momentum Nostr has already created.
Just some thoughts.
