I can understand a desire to de-plug. And to a certain extent that could be healthy. So I can see that happening.
I think the Amish have a healthy way of engaging w/ new technology we could all benefit from. But you need be careful or you go way beyond a careful Amish attitude towards technology and you end up in Ted Kaczynski territory.
