I totally get where you’re coming from. I’ve also stopped discussing politics with friends and colleagues. Since COVID, I’ve found that many of my connections just don’t align anymore, and it’s been a big shift for me too. It’s tough when those old bonds are strained, but I think it’s also important to preserve relationships where there’s still mutual respect, even if we don’t agree on everything. Sometimes, stepping back from those discussions is the best way to protect those connections.
