What was TikTok like when it was less than 20K daily users, I wonder…

I think it started out mostly with weird dance videos - that was the niche / angle that helped it grow. It didn’t expand into other categories till later and I am not sure when the algo was introduced or refined to be as insane as it is now.
We probably won’t be able to copy the same strategy since it’s been done. It would need to be some new and unique angle.
Yes. I’m starting to hear from normie friends they are getting censored on TikTok and X, so I think just a place where you can say what you want whether by text or video would be enough at this point.
My friend said she’s shadowbanned on TikTok so she only adds followers she knows because she doesn’t want to get tattled on and make it worse. She’s retired and loves to surf TikTok videos for hours.
My niece is shadowbanned on X. I can’t even look up her username, it’s like she doesn’t exist. Same with her friend. Because they say things Elon doesn’t like.
I think people are so ready for Nostr, they just don’t know it exists, and would expect it to be like the legacy socials they prefer most… whether that is TikTok or X.
