I'm here to play with Nostr again. I think the biggest thing missing for me here is audience control.
There ought to be a way to post in a way where you can designate who sees your post depending on the degree of friend they are to you.
Friendica, Hubzilla, Streams, and Forte does this. Facebook & Instagram does this. Maybe someday, someone will build that into the Nostr system.
I think Coracle/Flotilla is working on something.
When you post a note and only want certain friends to see it, you encrypt the note using their public keys. In essence, you’re sending the same note individually to each of them.
Ok. Tell me more. Can I create a group with the wanted public keys? For example, I want to share a photo only my family or close friends can see which could be roughly 20 people. What is the best way to share that photo and note to those people and not the entire universe.
