I'm not trying to make the use case for such practices, definitely not encouraging. Ultimately it's a fashion statement. As a personal note, it will always by a minority effect. Apart from the Dutch who are 40% gay, no other contemporary society has come as close. Last but not least, said practices don't influence population growth by that much. Again, look at the Dutch.

It certainly feels true, in my limited experience with the Dutch..
A reporter once told me that he wouldn't let the truth interfere with a good story. I say 40% is a decent number.
