Yeah definitely - humor is something that transcends the internet of back-to-back advertising. I remember my friend in Latin class and I used to make one-panel comics and toss them to each other. I opened one once and it just said Reen’t! Reen’t! Reen’t! Which is how we had decided the shower scene noise from Psycho was spelled. Memes remind me of that - a shared joke with the world.

This encourages me that actual people exist here on #nostr. Ever since I started on here a few days ago there have been friendly people left and right answering my questions and just being cool. Nothing like the William Gibson version of the internet that so many people live in.
