AI was pretty legit, as it turned out.
Quantum will be too.
Wouldn't group those two with ordinals and meme coins.
I didn’t say any of the list was legit or not. Just saying it’s the same group of people hyping each one. Chamath-esque VC types.
AI is definitely useful but I think most are overzealous on what they can accomplish in the short term due to profit/cost, and energy infrastructure restrictions. We’ll see on quantum, but it just has snake oil fear mongering salesmen written all over it.
Quantum is in the same category as fusion reactors, it's an engineering challenge, we may get there sooner, or we may get there later, but we'll get there.
Signal, Google, Cloudflare, they've all taken it very seriously.
