I remember going to Cancun in 2003 for Spring Break and going to the MTV Beach Party and seeing about a 75 to 100 people dancing on camera

It looked unimpressive in real life, but if you can control the camera, the area and the perspective

you can make the scene look very impressive and desirable to the people watching on TV

This was my first encounter with Corpo Propaganda

Multiply that by everything.

πŸ’― I remember my 2 cousins (9 and 12 year old) watching MTV like they were addicted, they couldn't stop watching, when not in school

They film the New Years Eve specials in a warehouse in July. They get footage for lots of different events at the same time, like AMA concerts and stuff

WHAT?!

Oh yes. Big warehouse in Van Nuys. All those β€œlet’s go to the stage to see Jonas Brothers” stuff is filmed months in advance. They do the different holidays too, they switch clothes for Thanksgiving lol

I believe it, it's strictly for entertainment value

I never watch those things but when my friend worked one and told me, it still made me a little sad πŸ˜
