If you write a note on an invoice payment in Muun, is that not relayed to the receiver?

There are no notes in payments in Lightning (only receiver can create memos that are encoded in the bolt11 string).
not entirely true right, with amp you absolutely could. there's a lot of work there bc the receiver doesn't necessarily know how much to expect, so a bit of work goes in to prevent the last hop from stealing
