Today marks the day we remember when the Lion became the Lamb. This sacrifice was made for me, for you, for all, so that we undeserving mortals could be made righteous and God could dwell within us. Such powerful imagery always brings me to tears of thankfulness. 🥹

"Then Pilate took Jesus and had him flogged. The soldiers twisted together a crown of thorns and put it on his head. They clothed him in a purple robe and went up to him again and again, saying, “Hail, king of the Jews!” And they slapped him in the face."

John 19:1-3

"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life."

John 3:16
