In order to have background notifications on android and not be dependent on google push service you need to pull it yourself using a background service, which is what you can optionally use with nostr:npub1gp4xzpmluelsakjtayc4wtzj97fhj5kakqjvsannu00xkdlf4x8s0xdqyq

Yes. That's the whole point of _not_ having _any_ notification service running. You can do without it at the UI level. Genius! #primal #UX

I'm rather betting primal will succumb to google and apple's push service, in order to be more "premium" and so that users can have it confortably taken care of. Hope I'm wrong.

Still too early and #primal is web tech. for the most part. I'm OK if it goes full #PWA providing the best #UX but it _is_ VC funded so...

Its not only web tech. It has android and ios native clients.

My bad. #primal is native #kotlin on #android and native #swift on #ios still the VC funders are gonna want their money back eventually.
