For the past few weeks, I've been experimenting with bringing my desktop screens into VR.

It's getting there. The folks at Immersed have thought through working in a VR environment. And I'm happy to say the #Linux support is solid.

Has anyone else tried this?

Oh yeah, my dream is to replace my monitors. Not quite there yet. I have the Vive E XR. Virtual screens are comparable to 1080p. YT folk that I follow say the Vision Pro virtual screens feel like 4k, which is the sweet spot. Can't wait to see the competition develop! It's out of my budget range and I'm not in the Apple ecosystem.

I just pre ordered a visor.com . 4k per eye, recommend.

The immersed is open platform. I will never use something that requires a Facebook account or an Apple guilded cage.

I would be VERY interested to hear what you think of them whenever you get them!

I haven't tried this in Linux yet - what hardware are you working with? I've tried Immersed on a Macbook -> Quest3 but having both on wifi was laggy. Now that I know Immersed supports Linux, I'm going to try that this weekend.

I’m curious if you tried it? And of course how it went if you did.

If you haven’t tried yet, I put some good resources in the most recent unplugged show notes.
