Gamers are poor on average and the high end gaming hardware niche is brutal. NVidia has bootstrapped the AI hardware business from scratch in that shitshow of a market. I don’t begrudge them soaking the VC funded AI grifters to make some profit from them while they can.

I do want to see them get some real competition because that will reduce the risk of the entire market depending on a single centralized company. I also want to see US based semiconductor fabrication capacity grow as fast as possible.

Everyone will eventually have to compete on price, but there are other much more important goals in the short term.
