The answer this problem is quite simple:

Don't use Amethyst, no matter the cost it inflicts on you when NIP features not implemented on other applications become apparent.

If I deal with software I commonly use going through the cucking process, or previously free functionality becomes paywalled, I stop fucking using said software.

I just went through this with Larix Broadcaster two days ago.
