The latter - how do they get the money and develop the systems to do this? Politicians have power because we provide them money to control us. That can be taken away - the good guys have always eventually won!

What if politicians in the near future (less than a generation) can’t print their own wealth anymore?
We’ve been told the good guys have won, but modern history paints a different picture. As far back a WWII we have seen a government ready to throw lives away to fund the war industry, print and launder money, and consolidate power/strip freedoms on a global scale.
I don’t disagree that taking away their money prevents this, but I have a hard time seeing how, in the short term that happens. My concern is that by the time their money dries up it could be too late.
