The Bitcoiners are the first to adopt Nostr because they were naturally enabled to see the utility in it.

The next will be every marginalized group that has ever been shadow banned or overtly banned from mainstream social media.

Whether or not adoption grows beyond that will depend on how the clients develop.

Most people don't give a shit about censorship resistant social media. They just want a flashy UX and connections with all their friends/fam.

It does feel like internet of yore. Like you say, it's not what it is now, but what it'll be and what it facilitates.
