Made the decision from the get go to raise our kids on a single income. I don't make huge money, and so there are a lot of sacrifices.
We buy food on sale and use food banks sometimes. We never buy clothes or shoes from a store - always from a thrift store when there is a sale.
We don't take holidays or eat out, ever. We don't buy alcohol or go to movies. We drive our vehicles into the ground.
I totally get why different people make different choices.
Huge respect. Ultimately when you see your kids as people, it’s hard to throw them in a box for 9 hours a day.
