Neat. What is your application that a much cheaper lifestraw or similar doesn't work?

lifestraw is an emergency device, not a daily driver. im looking at off grid forms of securing water. atmospheric water generators seems neat

My man going so far off the grid that he needs to siphon water from the surrounding air

My dude went full-blown succulent, why don't you just grow aerial roots out of your neck.

The namesake product is an emergency use straw. They also offer other daily driver full drinking water supply products including some with ceramic filters instead of the membrane filter in the straw. Ceramic filters can make the water safe from virii in addition to bacteria.

Sawyer is an option mostly in the membrane filter space.

Berkey is another option that specialises in ceramic filters that are virus safe. They offer filters that can keep up with multiple people's full supply at that level of filtration.

As long as you have fresh water (in the not salt or brackish water sense) you are safe to drink with all 3 of those options across north america for far less money. Virus issues in the water are extremely uncommon here, but with ceramics you can be even more sure. The atmospheric generator seems more like a desert specific device with a premium price to go with the extra functionality of not needing to find a creek or pond.

Dehumidifier with a sump-pump and RO filter is the old way.
