I get it, but people actually hitting those numbers are not middle-class to start with. This is the real trap affecting the middle-class today:
Used car: $20k, don't have money for new
Wedding: $0, gotta get a career first
Mortgage: $0, live with parents
School debt: $50k, at state school and worked summers
Total: $70k in debt by 30. But single, no kids, living at home, making barely above minimum wage.
Culture is built to waste your time away from family and good values.
Be humble and family oriented.
