I have always admired strong communities - perhaps because it's something I have felt the absence of in my own life.

I am not talking about online communities, they are great too, though they have their own place. What I am interested is real, in-person connection, a physical touch. I imagine a group of people who share common values and live near each other, rooted in the same land.

My idea of a community that is in nature, somewhere rural. It doesn't have to be large - 20 people would be plenty. But I imagine a group that values health, eco-conscious living, common sense and very humble. A place where people celebrate their individuality but are united by a strong sense of family - a man, a woman, and their children. Growing their own food, maybe raising animals, having regular community meetings.

So, I’m putting this out into the universe with trust that I'll find myself in a place like this soon.
