Ecash mints should just be called “wallet providers” and should come with user ratings / reputation score.

Oh so this is what the regulators meant by a “hosted wallet” 😂 they were two steps ahead without even knowing it

Me: don’t call them wallets.

Bitcoiners: playing with world definitions is not going to change anything, you idiot!!!

Me: call them wallet providers

Bitcoiners: Playing right into regulator hands!!! Idiot!!

🤦‍♂️

😂 Hahah I am mostly joking, but is an unfortunate irony! I don’t seriously have a problem with either name. To be frank, the term wallet has always seemed odd anyway.

I wasn’t aware there were people up in arms about e-cash apps (I guess?) being called wallets

What do you think the bitcoiners complaining about the term wallet call the brown leather thing in their back pocket that most peop use to carry around fiat and credit cards?

Too many moving parts in the ecosystem currently

The UX is not smooth

I use minibits. Its simple.

Im on Android so its a little better.

I like cashu for quick transfers, I like the privacy and how easy it is to use. But what can a random user do to make sure they can safely (with 99% certainty) hold ecash worth few hundred thousands sats for like a half year? Are we there already?
