I also love minibits and cashu in general. Cashu is developed in a more decentralized and open way than fedimint, and it keep it simple resolving a problem at time with optional improvement propsals (like bitcoin, lightning, nostr, all the protocol...).

I personally today prefer to use a zeus wallet with non-custodial node for bit bigger amounts and minibits for little amounts that I will not cry when loose.
