On Monday, I testified in the Texas State Senate against a bill that would ban ranked choice voting in Texas. Afterwards, I went along with some of the people I testified with to a South by Southwest event where Andrew Yang was speaking. I asked him about decentralized social media. He responded favorably, but was not familiar with Nostr. I gave a brief pitch for Nostr, and he took a note on it.

Decentralized social media is a natural fit for alternative political movements. Trump's approach of speaking into an echo chamber on Truth Social cannot compete with open communication networks. Nostr already has much more engagement than Truth Social.
