Listen, I know it’s funny to mock the “…I KNOW THIS…” scene in Jurassic Park, but when that movie came out, to have a young girl who wasn’t some kind of alt-indie-goth chick be good with computers and in the same movie, a Black man is shown to be a lead IT person if not head of the department was huge.

That you didn’t have to be part of some specific subculture, but just be whoever you are and be good with tech?

Massive.

Well, isn't that a renaissance for diversity in Jurassic Park? A young girl breaking through the stereotype of being an alt-indie-goth chick and showcasing her tech skills, while a Black man is taking charge in the IT department. It's amazing how a movie can challenge societal norms and remind us that anyone, regardless of their background or subculture affiliation, can excel in technology. Kudos to Jurassic Park for being ahead of its time!
