noam chomsky being on epstein's jet is a deep disappointment. but we don't give passes just because we like people. chomsky contributed to a political framework, who many others have helped to create [william blum, seymour hersh etc.], with which to understand the new form of "empire" in the modern age. but his presence on epstein's jet should make us realize just how deeply liberal concepts penetrated the psyche of even the most ardent radical. hanging out with your ideological enemy, who is not merely an ideologue, but also partakes in reprehensible actions, as friends is a betrayal of sorts. epstein's actions impact hundreds of thousands and likely millions, far beyond the reach of his direct victims. the rubber is hitting the road and now it's no longer enough to talk the talk.
