Explaining complex topics or problems to 4 year old is a very good brain exercise.

You need to use simple words, provide an easy to follow example, squeeze the idea to 2-3 sentences and still explain the core of the problem.

If you fail on the above you will loose your interlocutors focus or the message will be blurred.
